In October 2026, severe storms and heavy rainfall caused widespread flash flooding across the Navajo Nation and Hopi Reservation, leaving families displaced and communities facing significant damage.
Floodwaters damaged homes, roads, bridges, and essential infrastructure, leaving some families without access to electricity, clean water, and basic necessities.
Among the affected communities are Dennehotso, Rock Point, Chinle, Shiprock, Aneth, and several Hopi villages, including Lower Moenkopi, Upper Moenkopi, Hotevilla, and Bacavi.
Both the Navajo Nation and Hopi Tribe declared states of emergency as rescue crews, local organizations, and community members worked together to assist affected families.
As recovery efforts continue, many of our relatives still need support with housing, food, water, essential supplies, and rebuilding.
Below are community fundraisers, donation links, and resources for those who wish to help.
The community is art. Taking care of one another is part of that..
